ANNA BRENNA
SUSPENSION POINTS
The points, unlike all other punctuations marks, do not have the purpose of clarifying, dividing, defining, but they rather signal a”suspension” in the discourse, an unfinished sentence, a hesitation or a hint left intentionally undefined.
Symbols of uncertainty, sometimes of surprise or wonder, or as in Severgnini’s words, “the graphic representation of a suspended generation” . Almost like apnoea or times to reflect, to balance derangement situations.
Such are the athmospheres I wish to represent in these photos, open subjects, leaving room for unanswered questions. Geometric shapes, objects, persons wandering around in space, apparently without a reason or a meaning.
